Preparation of 3-Chloropropyldimethylchlorosilane: this chemical is prepared by reaction of Oxetane with Dichloro-dimethyl-silane.



The reaction occurs on condition of heating for 2.5 hours. The yield is 95.2%.

Uses of 3-Chloropropyldimethylchlorosilane: it is used to produce other chemicals. For example, it is used to produce 1,1-Dimethyl-siletane.



This reaction needs reagent Mg and solvent Diethyl ether at temperature of 100 °C. The reaction time is 11 hours.
