Uses of 1-Tetradecanethiol: it can be used to produce ditetradecyldisulfane at temperature of 20 °C. This reaction will need reagent Ca(OCl)2, moist Montmorillonite K10 and solvent hexane with reaction time of 15 min. The yield is about 94%.
