Specification:

With the CAS registry number 28064-14-4, Poly[(phenyl glycidyl ether)-co-formaldehyde] is also named as Phenol, polymer with formaldehyde, glycidyl ether. The product's categories are Polymers; Formaldehyde Copolymers and Epoxies; Engineering Polymers; Polymer Science. The other registry numbers are 42616-71-7, 59029-73-1 and 94422-39-6. The viscosity of this chemical is small thst is less than the 1 / 3 viscosity of bisphenol-A epoxy resin. And it has good impregnation to the fiber. Comparing with bisphenol-A epoxy resin, Poly[(phenyl glycidyl ether)-co-formaldehyde] has lower heat resistance and excellent corrosion resistance. Additionally, the storage environment should be ventilate, shady and cool and dry.

Preparation of Poly[(phenyl glycidyl ether)-co-formaldehyde]: It can be obtained from two steps. First, we can get the bisphenol F by the reaction of phenol and formaldehyde (37% formaldehyde solution) at the existence of 35% concentration hydrochloric acid. Secondly, the reaction of bisphenol F and epichlorohydrin at the presence of NaOH to obtain the product.

Uses: Liquid Poly[(phenyl glycidyl ether)-co-formaldehyde] is used in solventless coatings, adhesives, cast plastic, glass fiber reinforced plastics, carbon fiber composite and so on. Solid Poly[(phenyl glycidyl ether)-co-formaldehyde] can used as anticorrosive paint and powder paint.
