Some physical characteristics of this chemical are as the following: (1)#h bond acceptors: 10; (2)#h bond donors: 3; (3)#freely rotating bonds: 7; (4)polar surface area: 175.38.

This is a kind of orange powder and is soluble in water while slightly soluble in ethanol and acetone. The color is purple in concentrated hydrochloric acid and gradually turns into colorless. As for its usage, it is usually used in dyeing and printing of wool and other wool fabrics. Then it could also be used in dyeing of silk, nylon, leather and wool.  Except used alone, it could also used in color matching and shading. As to its raw materials, they are including iodic acid, 4-aminoazobenzene, and p-phenylazobenzenesulfonic acid.
