Uses of (2-Methoxyethoxymethyl)triethylammonium chloride: it is used to produce other chemicals. For example, it is used to produce 6-Methoxy-4-(2-methoxy-ethoxymethoxy)-3,5-dimethyl-5,6-dihydro-4H-pyran-2-carboxylic acid methyl ester.

The reaction occurs with reagent Acetonitrile and other condition of heating for 12 hours. The yield is 81 %.
