General description about  Ethoxylated lanolin (61790-81-6) is a soft, wax-like material derived from wool as a by-product in the preparation of raw wool for the spinner. Chemically, it is a mixture of cholesterol esters and higher fatty acid esters. It forms a protective barrier and used as a base for emollients in cosmetics and hair-care products. Lanolin alcohols can be obtained by hydrolysis of lanolin to use as an emulsifying agent in the preparation of water-in-oil emulsions. Modified lanolin products are used as a base for ointments and creams. In industrial field they are used as lubricants, leather finishing and as constituents of varnishes and paints.
