 2-(Trimethylsilyl)ethoxymethyl chloride , its cas register number is 76513-69-4. It also can be called SEM-Cl ;  (2-Chloromethoxyethyl)trimethylsilane ; and 2-Chloromethyl 2-(trimethylsilyl)ethyl ether .
 2-(Trimethylsilyl)ethoxymethyl chloride (CAS NO.76513-69-4) could be stable under normal temperatures and pressures. While, it should avoid the conditions of incompatible materials, exposure to moist air or water. And it is not compatible with strong oxidizing agents. Its hazardous decomposition products are hydrogen chloride, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, silicon dioxide.
