The Milrinone lactate with the cas number 100286-97-3. It is also called (1)1,6-Dihydro-2-methyl-6-oxo(3,4'-bipyridine)-5-carbonitrile, compd. with 2-hydroxypropionic acid ; (2)Milrinone lactate ; (3)Milrinone lactate in 5% dextrose in plastic container ; (4)Milrinone lactate in dextrose 5% in plastic container ; (5)Milrinone lactose in 5% dextrose ; (6)Primacor ; (7)Primacor in dextrose 5% in plastic container

The Milrinone lactate is a compound with propanoic acid, 2-hydroxy- and 1,6-dihydro-2-methyl-6-oxo[3,4'-bipyridine]-5-carbonitrile, although the proportion is unspecific. Milrinone lactate is a positive inotropic cardiotonic agent with vasodilator properties. It inhibits cAMP phosphodiesterase activity in myocardium and vascular smooth muscle. Besides, Milrinone is also a derivative of amrinone and has 20-30 times the ionotropic potency of amrinone.

The Milrinone lactate generally has the following side effcts: Headache, chest pain and a slight fever. Inform your doctor promptly if these side effects persist or worsen. If you experience irregular heartbeat, contact your doctor immediately. Though an allergic reaction to this drug is unlikely, seek immediate medical attention if it occurs. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include as the following: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
